Tires for the Av!

Home Up No rubbing!

Well, now it's starting to look like a real truck!

I have added the following accessories to my Avalanche:
285/75R16 Goodyear MT/R Mud-Terrain Tires
MB Motoring Model 42 rims (16"x8")

So far I am very happy with them.  I have about 500 miles on them, under various driving conditions.  In the rain, they perform MUCH better than the original Firestone's, though some of that "may" be attributed to having them siped.  The truck is somewhat more numb in handling due to the larger tire size, but these tires are much stickier than the originals.

The tires originally rub against the fender well (see images below), but here's what I did about that.  Click on the link for more information.

I plan to get lots more pics up soon, but it was raining out.  More to come!
